Ingredients
- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons warm water
- 1 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 3–3¼ cups flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
- Marinara sauce for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; let sit until foamy.
- Mix in salt, oil, and two cups of flour, then gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough until smooth and place in a greased bowl; cover and let rise for one hour.
- Punch down the dough, divide into 16 pieces, roll each into a rope, shape into bones, and place on a baking sheet.
- Let rise again for 45 minutes; preheat oven to 425°F.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown; brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan.
