- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices deli-style turkey
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pound chicken breasts to a uniform thickness of ½ inch between plastic wrap.
- Lay turkey and cheese on each breast, roll tightly, and secure with toothpicks.
- Prepare three bowls: one with flour, another with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and the last with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder.
- Dredge each roll in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat in breadcrumbs.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat; brown each roll for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- For the sauce: melt remaining butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, gradually add milk while stirring until thickened, then stir in Swiss cheese until melted.
- Serve drizzled with Swiss cheese sauce.
