- 1.3 pounds ground beef
- 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 yellow onion (grated)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 yellow onion (diced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp chopped dill (more for serving)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated onion, salt, pepper, heavy cream, and egg until just mixed. Shape into four patties.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- In the same skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant. Add flour to form a roux, then gradually stir in chicken broth.
- Allow the sauce to simmer before adding heavy cream and chopped dill; cook until it thickens slightly. Return patties to the skillet to warm through.
