  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.3 pounds ground beef
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 yellow onion (grated)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill (more for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated onion, salt, pepper, heavy cream, and egg until just mixed. Shape into four patties.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant. Add flour to form a roux, then gradually stir in chicken broth.
  4. Allow the sauce to simmer before adding heavy cream and chopped dill; cook until it thickens slightly. Return patties to the skillet to warm through.
