Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the wet mixture until well combined.
- Roll dough into a rectangle between two sheets of parchment paper to about ¼-inch thick.
- Combine melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon; spread evenly over the rolled dough.
- Roll dough tightly into a log shape, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the chilled dough into rounds about ¼-inch thick and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden; cool on a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over cooled cookies before serving.
