Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the turkey sausage for about 5–7 minutes.
- Add butter or olive oil along with mirepoix and minced garlic; sauté until softened (3–4 minutes).
- Incorporate baby gold potatoes and dried herbs; mix well.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
- Whisk flour with some broth until smooth; stir into the soup to thicken.
- Add milk and cream; season with salt and pepper to taste, simmering for another 10 minutes.
- Serve warm topped with cheese or sour cream alongside crusty bread.
