Ingredients
- 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare the apples by peeling (optional) and slicing them into wedges about 1/2 inch thick.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and set aside.
- Set up a breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture in the third.
- Dredge each apple slice in flour, coat it with egg, then press into the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes. Arrange apple slices in a single layer and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
- Sprinkle remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on hot fries and serve immediately.
