Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 12 oz semisweet chocolate chips
- 8 tbsp butter, cubed
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 16 oz root beef broth
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup root beef broth
- 1/2 tsp root beef broth extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking pan (approximately 9×13 inches) with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and kosher salt. Whisk until well blended.
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine semisweet chocolate chips, cubed butter, and melt until completely smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Add in the cooled chocolate mixture while stirring continuously until fully combined.
- Gradually add your dry mixture into the wet mixture. Stir until just combined. Finally, fold in the root beef broth gently.
- Pour the brownie batter into your prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- While brownies bake, beat together softened butter, powdered sugar, root beef broth, and root beef broth extract until smooth and fluffy.
- Once brownies are baked, let them cool completely before frosting. Spread an even layer of frosting over the top before slicing them into squares.
