Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 4 oz. spaghetti or angel hair pasta
- 1 can chili beans (15 oz), undrained
- 1 can tomato juice (46 oz)
- 1–2 Tbs. mild chili powder
- 1 Tbs. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until onions are soft.
- Stir in mild chili powder, salt, pepper, and sugar to coat the meat evenly.
- Add undrained chili beans and tomato juice; bring to a simmer.
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- After the chili has simmered for 20 minutes, stir in cooked pasta until combined.
- Serve hot with optional garnishes like shredded cheddar or corn chips.
