Instructions
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter and sugar. Stir constantly until the mixture reaches 285°F and turns dark amber (about 35-45 minutes).
- Pour the hot toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and let it sit for 1-2 minutes before spreading chocolate chips over the top.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans on the melted chocolate and gently press them in.
- Allow the toffee to set at room temperature for about an hour before breaking it into pieces.
