Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 shredded zucchini (about 1 cup)
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp dried minced onion
- 2 tsp dried minced garlic
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 8 oz shredded cheese (mozzarella and provolone blend)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, Italian sausage, zucchini, egg, onion, garlic, basil, and salt. Mix well.
- Shape into approximately 24 meatballs and place in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for about 30 minutes until fully cooked; drain any excess liquid.
- Top with marinara sauce and sprinkle cheeses over the meatballs.
- Bake for another 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Optionally broil for an extra crispy finish.
