  • 3/4 cup buttermilk or sour milk

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • Chopped pecans
  • Cinnamon sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
  2. Chop peaches into small pieces and toss with flour.
  3. In a bowl, mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and cloves.
  4. Beat together butter and sugars until fluffy; add eggs one at a time.
  5. Mix in buttermilk and vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients; fold in peaches.
  7. Pour batter into the pan and bake for about 80 minutes until done.
  8. Cool slightly before transferring to a rack; prepare frosting by mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.
