  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, sift together all-purpose flour, whole wheat pastry flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and spices.
  3. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined; transfer to the greased dish.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans; sprinkle over the batter.
