  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In an electric mixer bowl, beat butter and pumpkin puree until combined. Add sugar and mix well. Then incorporate eggs and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture in three additions, alternating with milk until smooth.
  5. For the crumb topping: combine cold butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg until small crumbs form.
  6. Layer half of the pumpkin batter in the prepared dish followed by half of the crumb topping. Repeat with remaining batter and topping.
  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
