- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 ¾ cups warm water (about 110°F)
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional: ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, yeast, rosemary, garlic, and optional black pepper. Add warm water and olive oil; stir until a sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours until doubled in size.
- Lightly flour a surface, turn out the dough, and gently shape it into a round loaf.
- Place on floured parchment paper, cover it again, and let rest for another 30-45 minutes while preheating your oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
- Carefully transfer the dough on parchment into the hot Dutch oven. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
