Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 4 burger buns, toasted
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced red onions
- Pickled jalapeños (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped chipotle peppers, smoked paprika, lime juice, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and form into four equal patties.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes per side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- While cooking, prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise with more chopped chipotle peppers and lime juice.
- To assemble, spread the sauce on both sides of the toasted buns and layer with lettuce leaves, cooked patties, sliced tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños if desired.
